STONE SETTING WORKSHOP (bezel)

Jewelry and gemstones are directly associated. The bezel technique can attribute greater value as well as colour to your jewelry. The purpose of this seminar is to get acquainted with bezel, precious stones and semi precious stones. Then, we will learn to set stones by starting with their simple cutting – cabochon – into round, oval and square shapes. Stone setting follows, with brilliant, faceted and irregular cuts, with edges. This technique, then, allows for the creation of single-stoned rings. Participants attending this seminar will get familiar with measurements, as well as with preciseness in the creation process.
Basic knowledge on silversmithing is a prerequisite.
Participants undertake the cost of materials.
